Meet the team

Pia Rai is a highly experienced Occupational Therapist with over 10 years of clinical experience dedicated to supporting children and young people from birth to age 18. Throughout her extensive career, she has addressed a variety of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, developmental delays, unique genetic syndromes, and diverse physical disabilities.
Pia is deeply passionate about assisting infants and children managing motor disorders such as Cerebral Palsy and Acquired Brain Injury. She specializes in integrating assistive technology to empower her young clients, improving their engagement in daily activities. Before founding Being Human Therapy, Pia developed significant expertise at Glenroy Specialist School and Yooralla Children’s Services, providing critical care for children with complex medical requirements.

Additionally, she works as a casual academic at La Trobe University, mentoring the next generation of Occupational Therapy graduates as they transition into their professional roles.
